The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION: I can not seem to find any frame slider for a 95 ZX6R on your site, were are they?
ANSWER: These should work on that bike. From what I remember, only 1 side of the spool lugs is inset, so you should need this kit (which has 1 spacer for the inset lug). Check your bike to be sure.
QUESTION: I have a 96 ZX6R. Can these be mounted higher up on the frame like sliders I've seen on other bikes? Or only on the swingarm?
ANSWER: These are for the swingarm...there are frame sliders available for this bike as well.
QUESTION: will these fit a 1996 zx600e
ANSWER: I do not believe that the ZX6E had holes for spools in 1996 - do you see a spot for them welded to the bottom of the swingarm near the axle?
QUESTION: I have a 2006 kawasaki zzr600. Will these fit?
ANSWER: Yes, they will
QUESTION: Will they fit a 1996 ZX6R?
ANSWER: Yes they will, but this item is being discontinued and replaced with 10mm spoll sliders. They are $29.99 and will be available in a week.
QUESTION: I would like a set for my 1990 FZR1000 but I don't see a mount point to install them.
Am I missing something or do these work on the OEM?
ANSWER: If there is a spot, it will be on the bottom of the swingarm just forward of the axle. If there is nothing there - you either need to intall a set or use a pad stand.
QUESTION: How do I order a set for a 2005 ZX12R?
ANSWER: You need to confirm using you judgement, if you need the spools with steps or not. We have new spools for the bikes taking 10mm bolts - they are a spool slider make from black delrin that retails for $29.99....and they will have optional spacers that you can utilize when you need them. They will be avilable on 4/20/06.
QUESTION: would these fit a 95 zx750?
ANSWER: No, I think that the ZX7's use 12mm spools - which we do not make.
QUESTION: what is the "step" and its dimensions?
ANSWER: The "step" is a 1/2 inch spacer. Some bikes need a 1/2 inch spacer on one side, some need the spacer on both sides.
QUESTION: Do all the 10mm spools have a 1.25 thread pitch?
ANSWER: Yes, all bikes that take 10mm spools are 1.25 pitch
QUESTION: The ZR750S has the mounting tabs below the swing arm, however I am not sure if you have a listing yet for the exact size.. Will the 10 mm work with the ZR750S ??
Thanks !
ANSWER: I have not sold them for the KawasakiZR750S, but every recent Kawasaki has taken 10mm spools.
QUESTION: Will these spools fit 2001 ZX-6R?
ANSWER: Yes they will
QUESTION: Hello will these fit a 2005 Z750S
ANSWER: Honestly, we do not know. The part number above has a standard 10mm spool and one 10mm with a step down that fits into the frame.
QUESTION: WILL THESE SPOOLS FIT ON MY 97 KAWASAKI ZX-6R NINJA?
ANSWER: Yes, they will
QUESTION: I have a Kawasaki ZRX1200R... what spools do I need to order?
ANSWER: We have had only a few requests for spools for either the ZRX11/1200. What we did was create a kit 27-1020 which both spools have a 'step'. It's not listed but it is available for $24.99.
QUESTION: will the spool fit 93 kaw. zx11c-4 c-model
ANSWER: We believe the ZX11 would require both spools to have a 'step' or recess to fit inside the frame. You need to check your spool location on the bike and see if that is so. Assuming we are correct you could order 27-1020 for the same price as the SKU noted above and get that set up. If only one side needs the 'step' then the SKU above is correct.
QUESTION: will it fit a 2002 suzuki katana 600
ANSWER: We do not know. Suzuki's as far as we have experienced take 8mm spools. The Katana model is not a race bike which is what we normally test our products on. The 27-1010 spools are 10mm with one spool 'stepped' down to space it out and fit inside a Kawasaki ZX9 frame.
QUESTION: I have a 2005 kawasaki zzr600. Will these fit?
ANSWER:
QUESTION: do they make a kit to mount spools on a 01 katana 600?
ANSWER: No, they do not. You would need to weld a threaded mount to the bottom of the swingarm or use a riv-nut kit.
QUESTION: I have a 1975 Z1 900 Kawasaki and I'd like to use one of these stands that require these spools.I have a aluminun SoCal extended swingarm and was just wondering if just any of these spool sets will work after I tig weld the theaded 3/4"X1" round aluminum stock in place. Would you recomend the 12 mm bolts due to the 550 lb weight of the bike? Thank you
ANSWER: No, 10mm is fine - 8mm would do the trick as well....550 lb is not too out of the ordinary, certainly not enough to think about shearing off an 8mm bolt.
QUESTION: will these fit a 2004 zx-6rr
ANSWER: Yes, they will
QUESTION: Will the spools also fit a 2002 ZX12
ANSWER: Yes, they should fit a ZX12. However, you need to check the bike itself. If the spool "receivers" are both near the outer edge of the swingarm, the regular (27-1000) spools will work. If one is inset more than the other, you need the 27-1010.
QUESTION: Will this fit the 2003 ZX6R 636?
ANSWER: Yes, they will.
QUESTION: Does this fit the 2000 ZX10?
ANSWER: Not sure about the year 2000. It does fit the new 2004 ZX-10R. Check the swingarm where the spools would mount and see if one side has a step or recess. If so, the p/n above will fit. If the step or recess is absent on both sides I believe it would take the standard 10mm spools p/n 27-1000. Jan - Customer Service
QUESTION: Is this the same spool for the ZX10?
ANSWER: Yes, they are the same.
