We start with a hi-temp fiberglass composite material then add a proprietary coating to enhance heat retention and expand durability. QUESTION: is it possible to remove exhaust wraps after the have been in place ? ( want to change color )
ANSWER: Certainly, exhaust wrap may be replaced with new whenever necessary. Note that it is a good idea to remove corrosion that may have occurred underneath the wrap before re-wrapping. Sealing the wrap with hi-temp silicone spray is necessary to prevent corrosion from occurring in the first place.

QUESTION: I recently put an aftermarket pipe on my atv. After riding it i found out that it is melting the plastic of the rear fender. Will this wrap prevent tue pipe from further melting the plastic?
ANSWER: Wrapping your exhaust will protect the plastic IF AND ONLY IF there is an air gap between the wrap and the plastic when installation is complete. If there IS an air gap of 2mm or greater after wrap installation, it will protect better than any other solution. In technical terms, a convection gap will protect your low-melting point components, direct contact will not accomplish anything except slower melting due to conduction. Note that it will be equally effective if you put a heat shield on the plastic - IF AND ONLY IF there is an air gap when you are done with the installation. See item 10460 Reflect-A-Cool. QUESTION: Is black silicone coating usualy used on black wrap, or is there a clear version of your silicone coating spray?
ANSWER: It comes in either Black or Aluminum color. Most of our customers order black silicone with black exhaust wrap.
QUESTION: my standard (sv 650)header pipe has a little bit of surface rust if i cleen this ov can i still wrap my exhaust
ANSWER: Existing rust should be cleaned off with a commercial rust removing product - most of these contain phosphoric acid, so exercise care in their use. The spot will be subject to rust first in the future unless protected - spray a little of the Silicone Hi-Temp compound on the spot before wrapping.
