ANSWER: This kit relocates the stock light...... It's above a louver cut into the kit..... It still illuminates the plate as normal......
QUESTION: Does this kit affect handling in any way? Will I still be able to ride my bike in the wet?
ANSWER: no changes to the handling...... ok for the wet

QUESTION: I just bought one of your fender eliminators for an 01 F4i. How exactly does the lock get relocated? By simply putting the lock in the hole and connecting the cable, there isn't enough tension on the cable to pop the seat. How do i mount the plate that holds the end of the cable?

ANSWER: Look at the instructions.... it tells you where to put the supplied cable mounts
QUESTION: all the kit bacicaly dose is cutting off the factory license plate bracket and adding your bracket on to the cut off peice is that rightor wrong
ANSWER: In a very broad since........ It relocates the lic light, turn signals, storage area lock, etc...... But if you prefer hacking the fender....

ANSWER: It replaces the underside and allows you to relocate you lic plate and signal. It's not a tail section.

ANSWER: The 05 F4i is the same as the 99-00 F4 Part #1H603. That's the one you want!
QUESTION: I have installed a Clear ALternatives integrated tail light on my 02 F4i. With your eliminator will i have 2 holes fro where the turn signals should be located if I install your kit?
ANSWER: NO, just don't use the signal bracket's.
QUESTION: the picture on bottom looks as if the old black fender is still there and only the bottom is cut off, mounting the plate to the plastic under the light? Is this all the kit tells you to do?
ANSWER: No, the black fender gets cut flush with the body. The entire is stainless.

ANSWER: First, The 04-05 f4i has the same tail-section/fender eliminator as the 99-00 f4. Part# 1H603. It DOES incorperate the stock lock onto our kit.
QUESTION: What happens to the light that shines on the lisence plate? Is it relocated?
ANSWER: Yes, It is mounted with-in our kit and shines through a louver above the plate.
QUESTION: for the turn signal wiring, what happens this wiring covered in black plastic tape like? do the wires stand out hanging underneath? or are they wired through something that conceals them? explain in detail please.
ANSWER: The wire runs up through a rubber grommet. They are only visable for about an inch, and only from under the bike.
QUESTION: the turn signals are molded to the old fender how does this kit arranges the turn signals for a cleaner look?
ANSWER: It eliminates the very large obtrusive fender off the back, and flushes every thing to the bottom.

ANSWER: NO! As our discription states our kits are stainless steel (brushed).
QUESTION: What tools are needed for install? What would you rate the difficulty of installation, on, say, a scale of 1-10?
ANSWER: Normal handtools (wrenches ect..) a hacksaw blade. For the average guy, I'd say a 6-7. It's not really hard, but it does take a little longer than you'd think. I'd give yourself a couple of hours and take your time.

ANSWER: This kit retains the stock signals and lenses.
QUESTION: When you cut the area below the bodywork, do you end up with a hole under the seat where your storage compartment was?
ANSWER: Yes, but once the kit is installed it will act as the storage.

ANSWER: You lose anything that is below the bodywork.

ANSWER: The 1H603 comes w/ signals. The factory ones will not work. Basically any plastic below the body work will be removed, and the lock relocated.

ANSWER: Yes.

ANSWER: It's the same as the OLD F4 our part# 1H603
