Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patent pending design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole.
For racing, this model uses a special universal shorty slider puck (part number 50-1399) that gives the GSXR's the perfect amount of puck protruding from the fairing.

The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION: Hi,
On the Woodcraft frame sliders for a 2007 GSXR750, do you know the actaul bolt size thats required to mount them?
Thanks
ANSWER: The bolts are a socket cap 10x60 Fine thread. Thanks Greg Souther Woodcraft Technolgies
QUESTION: what's the torque spec for a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 750 when installing and do I need to apply a lock tight or liquid lock of any type?
ANSWER: You use the torque spec from the service manual for the OEM bolt. Engine mount bolts do not need loctite.
QUESTION: i got a 2007 gsxr600 is there cutting requires on either side
ANSWER: Yes, there is cutting on both sides. These are parts that are made to withstand a hit - and offset sliders are always weaker.
QUESTION: Do you have this item for the 08 GSXR 750?
ANSWER: This item should fit the 08 perfectly.
QUESTION: Which side is the left and which side is the right. The base with the flush mount I'm assuming is the left, and the base with the small offset shape i'm assuming is for the brake side of the bike. Is this correct? Also, if it is it will fit the right side with the stock hole in the fairing b/c of the base being offset.
ANSWER: With OEM bodywork - it is actually easier to mount the RH base on the left side. For street use - you might even get away with it. But, if you really had to use the slider, the long base would be a likely point to catch and flip the bike - or even to simply rip off. This is one of the reasons that so mny racers use our sliders...they're a little more work to mount, but when it comes down to it - they work. The long ones sold by some other guys are easier to put on, but they will definitely put you at risk to do more damage to your bike in a crash.
So, to mount them right takes some work on the OEM bodywork - but after you are done you'll have very effective protection.
QUESTION: I recently purchased a 2007 GSXR 1000, do you make any frame sliders to fit that particular model because Im very interested in purchasing some.
ANSWER: We are looking at that bike right now....it should be a matter of days before we have it figured out.
QUESTION: What type of mounts are these? Are they the direct or indirect?
ANSWER: Trying to understand your question, I would assume that you would call them direct. They are bolted directly through the frame bolt wihtout any offset brackets that make them weak.
QUESTION: On the GSX-R600 2007, is there any cutting involved and how much?
ANSWER: Yes, you need to cut 2 inch holes for the pucks.....that way we can make them strong enough to do the job they were designed for.
QUESTION: On the 2006 GSXR-750 K6 model why is cutting necessary on the right side? This is in reference to the first question posted above.
ANSWER: Yes, there is some cutting on both sides
QUESTION: do you have to cut both side fairings to install these?or just left side?thanks
ANSWER: There is some cutting on both sides.
QUESTION: wanted to know if regular black pucks are the same as race pucks do they look the same both are solid?
ANSWER: They look identical. The ones on this kit are 6mm shorter due to the frame/fairing proximity on this bike. The longer standard pucks will fit on the bases, but for race use we did not want them to be that long - they stuck out too far for our taste.
QUESTION: i just bought the frame sliders for my 06 gsxr 750 and on the left side if you cut a 2inch hole it will cut out some of the bracket that holds the fairing to the frame is that right.on the right side do you cut a 2inch hole or add an inch to the 1inch hole that is already there.the directions aren't very clear.
ANSWER: You cut a 2 inch hole directly in front of the motor mount bolt. It should not cut into the fairing mount bracket at all.
QUESTION: Do you have any additional instructions/recommendations on installing these sliders. Also any pictures of ones that have already been installed. Thanks.
ANSWER: The sliders will come with instructions.....we will have pictures in about 2 weeks
QUESTION: how hard are the sliders to instal and does it come with directions on how to do it and what all has to be cut and drilled?
ANSWER: They are very easy to install. You need a 2 inch hole in the bodywork that is directly in line with the motor mount bolt. WE design our sliders without an offset because that is unquestionably the best way to make sliders that will do the job they were intended for. Once that is done, installation takes less than 5 minutes.
QUESTION: Is there any drilling necessary for the 2006 Suzuki GSXR600, or does the frame slider for the left side(clutch side) have an offset?
ANSWER: Yes, there is drilling. We avoid offsets whenever possible as they make for weaker sliders.
QUESTION: i just got a 2006 gsxr 750 and need frame sliders for it but don't want to cut the fairings. Do your sliders fit without the cutting?
ANSWER: No. We only make products that will hold up in a crash....and the offset no-cut sliders are always weaker. We sell only what we would put on our own bikes on the track.
