QUESTION: Instead of the wires having to be cut or spliced, could one keep the stock connector Harness side) and get a connector like the one on the stock license plate light and then put the wires from the kit supplied LED to the new connector? (to avoid any splicing etc)?

ANSWER: the light is made to light up only the license plate but you can choose to light up the zx14 by moving the position of the light up side down

ANSWER: for installation, remove the solo seat, mud guard and unscrew 3 bolts.
you must unplug turn signals, and led plate light. Install the fender kit, with the 3 screws washers and nuts, replug turn signals and plate light, re-install the seat and enjoy your ride...
QUESTION: Where is the LED located? And if there is one, does the stock harness plug right into it, or do you have to splice?
ANSWER: the wires have to be sliced for the installation , and the led light has a groove for installation it is just hard to see on the picture.
