Our new Supersport undertail is a molded ABS plastic piece that replaces the stock undrtail once you remove the mud flap. It has a white LED light that will illuminate the license plate. ANSWER: To re-use the plug for the license plate light you will have to cut the wires.

QUESTION: Does the whole undertail piece get replaced or does this unit fill in the hole left by the oem fender?
ANSWER: You remove the stock undertail, then replace it with the new one.
QUESTION: How do you remove those weird plastic screws for the undertail that's already there? I don't want to break them, is there an easy way to remove those types of screws?
ANSWER: Push the center of the screw in and once it pops just pull out the whole pop rivet.
QUESTION: if i was to mount the plate near the rear shock, would the LED light on the undertail be located at a point where it would still illuminate it?
ANSWER: It might still shine on the plate if you mount it in the very back but it wouldn't be much light.

ANSWER: Not sure where you can find that color at but we do sell unpainted undertails that you can have painted any color you need part # is S06GS-SB-UP. You could try www.colorrite.com for the paint.

ANSWER: The 08 is in production now - Hotbodies should have it done and in stock by March 15. This one will not fit on the 08.

ANSWER: We only sell the undertail in a gloss black not matte color. Also we do not have any pictures of the undertail with the license plate mounted.

ANSWER: You would have to double check the mounting bracket for your kit to see if would work.

ANSWER: You have to unplug the license plate wire and turn signal wires and then just unbolt the mud flap.

ANSWER: The light for the plate is towards the top but the actuall license plate bracket isn't drilled. You can choose where to mount it.

ANSWER: If you want to mount the plate down by the rear shock, you would have to make a bracket. Our bracket is made to mount up closer towards the tail light.
