The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION: Hello
I'm looking at your windscreens for a 03 Yamaha FZ1.
The one I'm thinking about is the +8 (20 in) windscreen. Can you tell me if it bends or flexes a lot at highway speeds (60+ mph)? Also, it say reverse contour...can you tell me more about that. I guess I've been looking around and comparing different windscreens and reading about them so I'm wonder two things...one, what makes your windscreens better and two, what size would you recommend for good wind protect for commuting 80+ miles a day to work and for two up riding on the weekends?
Thank you for your help and info.
ANSWER: This windshield should stay rigid at highway speeds (60+mph), our windshield has a slight reverse contour that pushes up the air higher providing confort protection, the size of your windshield will depend on your height, however if you want good protection we recommend 20" or 21" tall. Thank you for your inquire.
QUESTION: how can I measure my present windscreen to properly order a new one. I want the wind to go over my head or at least stop buffeting, but I don't want to look thru the plastic. Thank you, Greg
ANSWER: Greg, seat on your motorcyle like you are riding it, then put a piece of cardboard on top of your windshield use some kind of tape to attach it to your windscreen, then you can dertermine how high you want it. Thank you for your inquire.
QUESTION: do you have a picture showing the reverse bend
ANSWER: Please take a look at the pictures for the Yamaha FZ1 2006-UP, we manufacture the windshield exactly the same as the FZ1 2006-UP, the only difference are the mounting holes. Thank you for the inquire.
QUESTION: DOES IT NEED EXTRA SUPPORT IF ITS EXTENDED TO FULL/22' HEIGHT?
ANSWER: No extra support is needed, the thickness is only 0.125 (1/8").
Thank you for your inquiring.
