From what I have seen of the 09 R6S the Y-120 risers will work. We haven't had a chance to confirm it but should know for sure in the next 2-3 weeks.

When yamaha went to the inverted forks on the 05 R6, it changed the way our risers mount to the bike. We have tried various applications and haven't been convinced with the safety of either design and have decided not to continue development.

QUESTION: How much of a difference does it make on your wrists when you are riding? Am I better off getting new raised handlebars than risers?
ANSWER: If you sit on the bike the way it sits now and make your hands into a fist and rest them on the grips where they start to roll back toward you, this is close to the comfort you will get with the risers installed on the R6.

We do carry risers for the R6S with the standard forks. Our Y-120 risers will fit your bike without any changes to the control cables. It is only the R6 with the inverted forks that our risers will not work on.

QUESTION: I would like to buy these for my Girlfriends 03 Yamaha R6.
Does the fork tubes need to be moved up in the triple trees for this riser peice to clamp on to the for tube.
Also, do the riser peices obstruct the access of the fork pre load adjusters (flat head screw on top of the fork tube)?

ANSWER: Hi Nick,
You will not have to raise the fork tubes on the 03 R6 to get sufficient clamping surface. The tube inside of the riser is hollow to allow you access to the pre load adjusters. The hole is covered up with a snap plug that just pops on and off to allow access.

Our Y-120 risers will fit on the 2000 R6. We currently only carry one version. We do ship to the UK daily and the additional shipping costs are $9.00 for global priority. The current price for the risers is listed on the web site. We do have the Y-120s in stock and ship same day.

QUESTION: Does the tube that comes with the riser have a bigger diameter than the fork tube of the R6? How strong will it be or is there a possibility that it will loosen up while riding the bike?
Do you accept orders outside the U.S.? Like in Asia specifically in the Philippines?
ANSWER: The tube inside the riser is the same size as the R6 fork tubes. When the risers are installed properly, they are just a strong as stock. We do accept international orders.
